Tampa, Florida: USL Player Showcase:
United Soccer League created the USL Player Showcase as a way to further the careers and Playing opportunities of amateur athletes in the PDL (Premier Development League) and opened up a new era in North American Club Development. The inaugural Player Showcase presented by Umbro has been upgrated to accomodate what has grown into an influential event. World-renowned clubs will meet the best amateur players North America has to offer on the event's upgrated facilities at Ed Radice Soccer Complex in Northwest Tampa. The opening days of the first-time event was well-received by all English Premier League, Major League Soccer and USL First and Second Division with over 50 coaches and scouts in attendance.


Three of CDS Soccer players at the Showcase, Rogerio Oliveira, Freddy Moojen and Mateus dos Anjos, all of Brazilian nationality alongside Howard Goldberg.

CDS Soccer and Howard Goldberg is proud to announce the signing of Freddy Moojen of Clemson Unversity. Freddy is orginally from Brazil and he has has been selected by Major League Soccer for the annual Adidas combine taking place in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Jan 5,-8, 2007.This event allows the best 58 players in the United States to show their skills to the coaching staffs from all 13 MLS teams. Freddy was the most valuable player of the PDL 2006 season, he led the nation with 18 goals in 15 games. He has had various articles written about him: Soccer.com states "he can play at this D1 professional level". Currently there is interest from aboard for Freds services. Carlos De Sousa and Howard Goldberg were invited by Major League Soccer to attend the MLS Cup game in Frisco, Texas. The Houston Dynamo beat the New England Revolution 4-3 on penalty kicks, after a 1-1 draw at the end of overtime.CDS Soccer was proud to have been represented with Oka Arsene who was a member of the New England Revolution.

CDS Soccer Inc. and Howard Goldberg are proud to announce that the United Soccer League has accepted 16 players represented by CDS Soccer to attend the 2006 Mens Player showcase presented by Umbro. This event will debut Dec 17th thru the 20th in Tampa Bay, Florida. After reviewing 325 applications the United Soccer League trimmed the list down to the most qualified. USLhas received interest from clubs in both Europe and North America. MLS and USLwill have all coaches there to review players, there will also be representatives from the English Premier League including Chelsea, Crystal Palace and Fulham. "This will be a great event to showcase the talented players that we represent and we are sure we will get significant interest with our players that will result in professional contracts", said Howard Goldberg of CDS Soccer North America.

Andrew Weber won his 1st title in his 1st USL season. The Montreal Impact finished 1st Place overall in the regular season and awaits now the other semi-finalist of the Season's play-offs. Andrew started in 14 of the 28 games this season and posted an impressive record: 8 wins, 1 loss and 5 ties, having played 1250 minutes. to Turkish Superliga (1st Division) Club, Sivasspor, from Sivas, Turkey. Fabricio Carvalho who comes from the schools of Vasco da Gama, played with EC Bahia, Joinville (Brazil), Boavista (Portugal), Hapoel Telaviv and Hapoel Kifasava (Israel) and most recently with Bangu (Brazil), will sign a 3 year contract with the Turkish Club.

Men’s National Team off to Florida for Mini-Camp

 

Ottawa, Ontario Canadian head coach Frank Yallop has announced a squad of 16 players for a mini-camp in Sunrise, Florida. The camp is scheduled to take place from May 1-8, 2006 and will feature many of those players that played at the FIFA World Youth Championship Holland 2005 and as a result, are eligible for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.

Yallop will also rely on the veteran experience of Tony Menezes, who is making a long-awaited return to the senior team. Menezes last appeared for Canada in January 2003 and has recently signed with the Toronto Lynx of the USL First Division for the 2006 campaign.

ANDREW WEBER played his first friendly game with his new team. The Montreal Impact of the United Soccer League (USL), won its first pre-season game 6-0 against Lac St-Louis Lakers from the Quebec Soccer Elite League (LSEQ). Andrew Weber and Greg Sutton were the two Goalkeepers. In the second game against University of Montreal Carabins, the Montreal Impact won 2-0. In the 3rd game the Impact beat the University of Quebec in Montreal 1-0 and in their last pre-season game, another shot-out, again beating Lac St-Louis Lakers from the Quebec Soccer Elite League (LSEQ), 5-0.

It is with deep regret that Mr Doug Hamiltion President of the Los Angeles Galaxy passed away on thursday at the age of 43 years old of a heart attack.CDS Soccer along with our partner Howard Goldberg worked with Doug to obtain last year our first player in MLS to play for the LA Galaxy...We are deeply saddened by the loss of one of the leaders of american soccer. Doug will be missed and our condolences and prays are with his wife paige, his son Aedan and family.

, a naturally left-footed midfielder comes, from Bryan, Texas after being born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He had a stand out college career at University of Alabama-Birmingham. De Oliveira was second team NSCAA All-America in 2003 and was first team All-Conference USA in 2003 and 2004. He attended Allen Academy in Texas for high school and started college at University of Connecticut before transferring to UAB in 2002 and playing three seasons there.
