Jets 1 - 0 Adelaide

Mario Jardel sees his first A-
League action.
And so, with 20
minutes remaining,
the moment the
entire crowd of
13,627 wanted to
see; Marquee striker
Mario Jardel was
introduced into the
match, replacing
Jason Hoffman - who
had worked extremely
hard. Jardel’s 20
minutes of action
delivered a few
highlights and there
is little doubt he
will become a real
crowd favourite once
he gains match
fitness. Jardel also
contributed, albeit
off the ball, to
Bridge's 82nd minute
goal.
Wheelhouse received
the ball just inside
his own half before
turning and beating
his marker. He then
delivered an inch
perfect ball to the
feet of Bridge just
inside the box.
Bridge beat Robbie
Alagich, and with
the Reds defenders
backing off to cover
Jardel, Bridge fired
a shot low and hard,
beating Bajic at the
near post.
